Prince Reza Pahlavi meets with legislators in the House of Representatives and Senate

Prince Reza Pahlavi met with lawmakers in the House of Representatives and Senate in the US Congress.
Prince Reza Pahlavi appeared before the House of Representatives and Senate in the US Congress and spoke about the situation in Iran and leading the country towards democracy.
He posted a message on the social network X: “I was in the US Congress again this week and met with lawmakers in the House of Representatives and the Senate and I had a clear message for them.” He added about his message in Congress: “The regime’s nuclear program, missile weapons, fatwas against President Trump, the regime’s crimes, and its widespread corruption will not be eliminated by procrastination or diplomacy. These threats will only be completely eliminated when the Islamic Republic regime itself is destroyed. The fall of this regime is now inevitable, and I have a plan to guide Iran towards democracy. The world should not throw a lifeline to the regime.”
US Ambassador to the United Nations Dorothy Shea also referred to the situation in Iran during a statement at the Security Council meeting, saying: "Iran is now at a critical juncture, and the Islamic Republic must decide between two paths: continuing to violate its nuclear commitments and supporting proxies, or returning to meaningful diplomacy to end its weapons program. Now is the time for Tehran to make a decision."
Dorothy also warned against the Islamic Republic's efforts to acquire nuclear weapons, adding: "Continuing on the current path and in the absence of an agreement, the United States will continue to exert maximum diplomatic and economic pressure to deter any activity, such as the effort to acquire nuclear weapons, that threatens the security of U.S. citizens, forces, and partners in the region. Washington's preferred path is for Tehran to return to its nuclear commitments and begin "meaningful and timely diplomacy." This is the only way to achieve lasting peace and global integration for Iran and its people."
