An Iranian's account of discrimination by the Islamic Republic at the Global Call for Religious Freedom meeting

On Monday, President Donald Trump spoke at the Global Call for Religious Freedom. After the US President's speech, Mike Pompeo addressed the violations of the rights of religious minorities in other countries in a speech and, among the witnesses to the violations of rights in other countries, first asked "Dobrina Bet Temers" from Iran to speak.
Ms. Dobrina Bet Temarz is the daughter of Pastor Victor Bet Temarz, who is imprisoned in Iran.

He also spoke of the pressure on about two hundred Christians in Iran in 2018, noting that in addition to Christians, the Islamic Republic of Iran discriminates against Baha'i, Sunni, and Dervish followers.
Ms. Bet Tamerz concluded by calling on the international community to hold Iran accountable for its mistreatment of religious minorities.
Pastor Victor Bet Temarz and his wife Shamiram Issavi are Assyrians from Iran who were sentenced to 10 years and five years in prison, respectively, by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court.
Earlier, on Friday, August 2, US Vice President Mike Pence tweeted in response to the news of the arrest of Maher Ghanbari, a Christian convert, in Iran, saying that the Islamic Republic should release him today.
