Sepideh Gholian, imprisoned civil activist, went on leave

The head of the Iranian Prisons Organization, Mohammad Mehdi Hajmohammadi, says that imprisoned civil activist Sepideh Gholian has been granted leave.
He announced this in a tweet on Thursday, August 19, writing: "In recent days, many security convicts have benefited from legal privileges."
Meanwhile, a picture of Ms. Qolyan was also published on social media on the same day.
According to reports from human rights organizations, Ms. Qolyan, a civil activist imprisoned in Bushehr Prison, tested positive for COVID-19 in August.
Sepideh Gholian was arrested in November 2018 on the sidelines of Haft Tappeh workers' protests and later released. Ms. Gholian revealed about forced confessions and torture, which led to her re-arrest.
