125-Year Prison Sentences Issued for 12 Christians in Iran Over Past Month

Four other Christian converts were sentenced to a total of 40 years in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Ahmadzadeh. Yousef Naderkhan, Mohammad Reza Omidi, Mohammad Ali Mosibjazadeh, and Zaman Fadaei have been charged with “establishing a home church and promoting Zionist Christianity.”

Over the past month, eight other Christians and Christian converts have also been sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison each on similar charges in the same court branch.

Last June, Pastor Victor Bettemarz, Hadi Asgari, and Fallah Mohammadi were each sentenced to 10 years in prison, while Amin Afshar Naderi, another Christian convert, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

These individuals were charged with “actions against national security and establishing and running home groups.”

Naser Noordel Goltapeh, another Christian convert, along with three Christians who are nationals of the Republic of Azerbaijan, were each sentenced to 10 years in prison on similar charges.
