Nine-year-old child beaten to death by father in Kerman

A nine-year-old child from Bardsir County, Kerman Province, lost his life after being beaten by his father.

According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, on Friday, May 2, 1401, a nine-year-old child from Bardsir County, Kerman Province, lost his life.

According to an informed source, the child was hospitalized in Afzalipour Hospital in Kerman after being severely beaten and hit on the body and head by his father, and eventually died.

Afshin Salehinejad, the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Bardsir County, confirmed the news in an interview with ISNA and announced the arrest of the accused, adding: "Given the separation of the child's parents and the problems created for the children, as well as the defendant's lack of control over his anger and addiction, he severely beat the victim and inflicted severe blows to the body and head of the 9-year-old boy, leading to his death."

According to the Public Prosecutor and Revolutionary Prosecutor Bardsir, the father stated that his motive was to punish the child. He stated: "Up to this stage of the investigation conducted by the special murder investigator, it is clear that no one other than the father played a role in this crime, and the killer also stated in his statements that his motive was punishment and that he did not intend to kill him."
