A person threw acid on three women in Shahriar

Iranian media reported that three women were attacked with acid on the morning of Tuesday, January 27, in a park in Shahriar, Tehran Province, and that the attacker escaped.
While Mehr News Agency quoted Mehdi Sarpanah, deputy head of social affairs for the West Tehran Police Force, as saying that the attack was carried out by "a young man wearing a face mask and a long coat" on the women who had gone to the local park for morning exercise, Entebbe newspaper quoted the same official as saying that the acid attack was "carried out by a woman wearing a face mask."
According to these reports, the acid thrower approached the women from behind and emptied the contents of a bottle on them, and moments later, three women screamed and alerted other people to the incident.
According to the deputy social police chief of West Tehran Province, "one of the women suffered burns on the back of her legs and hands, and the other two only had their clothes burned."
Mehdi Sarpanah, the deputy social police chief for West Tehran, also claimed that the identity of the acid attack perpetrator has been determined and that he “suffers from mental problems.” However, the police official did not explain why they have not yet been able to arrest him.
In recent years, including in Isfahan province, there have been several cases of violent attacks, including acid attacks from motorbikes on women and girls who were "not wearing a hijab." The fate of most of these cases remains unknown.
