Farhad Fakhrbakhsh, host of the program "Shama va Sima", resigned from the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation.

Farhad Fakhrbakhsh, one of the anchors of Channel One of the Islamic Republic of Iran Television, announced his resignation from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting in a video.

Mr. Fakhrbakhsh was the host of the program “Shama va Sima” on Channel 1 of the Islamic Republic of Iran Television for the past four years. In a video he released, he said: “After 20 years of cooperation with the IRIB in various fields, I am announcing my withdrawal from further cooperation with the IRIB because the Iranian people are not feeling well these days.”

This is the third TV presenter in the past two days to announce his resignation from the IRIB due to the deadly suppression of the "Women, Life, Freedom" protests. Mr. Davoud Abedi, a sports presenter on the Khabar Channel, and Kimia Gilani, a presenter on Channel 5 of the IRIB, announced their resignation from their positions and continued their work with the IRIB in support of the protesting people, before Mr. Farhad Fakhrbakhsh.
