Kayseri, Turkey to Experience Earthquake Similar to February 6 Quake

According to a report by news agency Kayserihaberler, the city of Kayseri in Turkey will experience an earthquake similar to the February 6 earthquake.

39 days after the February 6 earthquake in Turkey, we continue to witness multiple earthquakes ranging from 3 to 5 on the Richter scale in various Turkish cities. The earthquake was the biggest catastrophe of the century, which in addition to severe financial losses, caused many people to lose their lives and families.

These earthquakes continue, and “Adnan Ozen,” a geological engineer, posted on his social media account about the active “Savarun” fault and the occurrence of a new earthquake due to the activation of this fault.

According to Adnan Ozen’s statements, the Savarun fault is an active fault that extends towards the city of “Adana,” and it is predicted that due to the multiple earthquakes in Turkey, this fault may rupture between 6 to 7 meters. The city of Adana is 110 kilometers away from Kayseri, and if this fault ruptures 7 meters, Kayseri will experience an earthquake similar to the February 6 earthquake, and as a result of this event, many buildings may be damaged and Turkey could witness another catastrophe. This warning has been issued to the cities of Adana and Kayseri, urging people to be vigilant and those living in damaged buildings to evacuate their homes so we do not witness further loss of life. It should be noted that many apartments in Kayseri that were damaged and weakened by the earthquake a month ago were evacuated and demolished by the city’s municipality.
