Christian man shot dead by Islamists in Pakistan

A 28-year-old Christian man was shot dead by Islamist extremists in Pakistan.
The death of a 28-year-old Christian father has sparked widespread outrage in Pakistan after a week of silence. According to reports published by CLAAS (Centre for Legal Services Pakistan), Marshall Masih was attacked by Islamist extremists in his home in the early hours of Wednesday, July 10.
"Jacob Masih," Marshall's father, said about his death: "Around 4:20 in the morning, a group of armed Muslim men entered our house from the roof. At that time, all our family members were asleep and no one noticed their entry. As soon as they reached my son's room, they started shooting at him and despite our cries of pleas and begging, they continued shooting until my son was covered in blood and fell to the ground. At the same time, neighbors heard the sound of shooting and our screams and entered our house, and the attackers fled."
Marshall was rushed to a Lahore hospital, but doctors' efforts to save him were unsuccessful, and Marshall, a father of four, lost his life. He was the sole breadwinner for his family and ran a small grocery shop, but Islamist extremists murdered him in front of his wife and children.
His family is a member of the Catholic Church in Lahore, and the incident that happened to Marshall sent a huge shock to the Christian community in Lahore, so much so that after his death, everyone took to the streets to protest and demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators of the massacre and swift justice.
The killing of Marshal Masih has sparked widespread protests against the protection of religious and ethnic minorities in Pakistan, with many calling for stronger measures to protect vulnerable communities and ensure swift justice. So far, none of the perpetrators have been arrested.
It should be noted that CLAAS is a non-profit NGO that provides services to Christians who are persecuted for their faith in Pakistan.
