Iran's Deputy Health Minister Says Coronavirus Will Increase in Fall

Iraj Harirchi, Deputy General of the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education, announced an increase in the likelihood of contracting coronavirus and influenza in the fall season.

According to the Ministry of Health official, to combat this situation, influenza vaccine administration will be increased in vulnerable groups.

As the mourning period and Muharram holidays begin in Iran, health ministry officials have warned of a third wave of the coronavirus outbreak. They have also urged people not to travel, especially to the northern provinces of the country.
