Manouchehr Vosough, veteran Iranian cinema actor, dies at 78

Manouchehr Vossoug, a veteran actor of Iranian cinema before the revolution, died in London on Sunday, March 28, at the age of 78. According to reports, Manouchehr Vossoug had been suffering from cancer for the past few months.

Manouchehr Vosough first entered the cinema in 1964 with the film "Ignorants and Zhigols" directed by Hossein Madani, and has since acted in more than 75 Persian films.

His last films were "Right and Wrong," "Zarkharid," and "Dagger Wound, Comrade," which were released in 1978.

After the revolution, he was banned from working and tried to pursue acting in Lalehzar theaters, but due to the difficulties he encountered along the way, he eventually left Iran and lived in London.

In the early years of her arrival in London, Manouchehr Vosough played a role in the play "Variety of the Mullahs," produced by Reza Fazeli and directed by Reza Sobakh.
