Colonel Seyyed Jalaluddin Javanmardi said about the incident: "Following receiving news that the parents of a child were standing on the eastern bridge of Rudsar and were planning to throw their child into the water, officers from Police Station 11 of this city immediately arrived at the reported location to investigate the matter."
According to the report, the child's parents ignored the presence of police officers and police psychologists. Javanmardi stated: "The child's 37-year-old father was arrested by surprise police after attacking the police officers, and the child was saved from their hands by timely police action."
According to the police commander of Rudsar County, the child's parents are involved in addiction, for this reason: "With judicial coordination, the 15-month-old child was handed over to the General Welfare Department of Guilan until the case was determined, and the child's addicted parents were also introduced to the addiction treatment center."
