Trump worries about the possibility of 100,000 deaths in the US from coronavirus

Trump's policy has previously been to downplay the extent of the impact of the coronavirus crisis. Now he is talking about the possibility of 100,000 deaths. Some of his advisers have even talked about the possibility of 200,000 deaths. Restrictions have been extended in the United States.
Donald Trump does not rule out a widespread outbreak of coronavirus and the possibility of more than 100,000 deaths in the United States. The number of people infected with coronavirus in the United States is now higher than in any other country in the world. Anthony Fauci, Donald Trump's advisor on the fight against the coronavirus outbreak, has even spoken of the possibility of 200,000 deaths in the United States.
Deborah Birx, a physician on the White House coronavirus task force, believes that if all of the US government's measures to combat the coronavirus are implemented as planned, there is a possibility that 80,000 to 160,000 Americans will die from COVID-19.
Deborah Birx said: "We hope that this calculation model is not completely correct and we are hopeful that we can do better than the current plan against Corona."
Extension of the Corona Response Program
Donald Trump believes that the number of victims of the coronavirus will peak by Easter. He said in his speech that if the number of victims from the disease decreases after that, then we can say that we have succeeded in combating this disease.
The US President has also predicted that the US will be able to emerge from the Corona crisis in early June. This prediction of Trump is different from his previous prediction. Trump had previously spoken of an improvement in the situation after Easter.
On the other hand, Donald Trump extended the government's policy to combat the Corona virus until April 30. This is while the US government had previously set the implementation period for this program until April 15.
As part of this program, all American citizens are asked to work from home as much as possible, avoid unnecessary travel, do not participate in gatherings of more than 10 people, and do not leave their homes if they experience symptoms of coronavirus.
Recommendation, not requirement
Adherence to the US government's plan to combat the coronavirus is not mandatory for citizens of this country, and this plan is only a recommendation.
Meanwhile, US states have imposed more restrictions on citizens, ranging from closing stores to curfews.
Trump once again expressed his displeasure at the prospect of such restrictions in the United States, saying they could seriously damage the American economy. He also warned that “there is nothing worse than us talking about winning before we have won.”
Nancy Pelosi's harsh criticism
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat, has blamed Trump for the scale of the crisis, saying the US president has been slow to implement the coronavirus response plan.
In an interview with the American news network CNN, Pelosi called Donald Trump's delay in dealing with the coronavirus "deadly."
The situation in New York State is reported to be very serious. So far, according to the statements of the state's governor, Andrew Cuomo, at least 60,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus and at least 965 people have died in the state.
A field hospital has been set up in New York's Central Park to treat coronavirus patients. Hospitals are suffering from a lack of capacity, ventilators, and specialists.
