Azerbaijani Defense Ministry: Ceasefire violated, clashes continue on the border of the Karabakh region

According to FCNN, an Azerbaijani news agency reported that the unilateral ceasefire between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia was broken by Armenian forces.
On Sunday, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told this news agency that the (unilateral) ceasefire has been broken on the front line in the Fuzuli, Tartar and Aghdam regions.
Earlier on this day, the Republic of Azerbaijan had unilaterally declared a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The center of the city of Martakert, in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, was hit by artillery fire on Sunday, causing several explosions, but no one was injured, Russian news agency Sputnik reported, citing its correspondent in the region. Local residents took shelter, Sputnik reported.
Intense clashes on Saturday between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces left at least 30 soldiers on both sides dead.
Trend, citing the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, said six Armenian tanks were destroyed in the clashes and more than a hundred Armenian soldiers were killed or wounded. However, independent news agencies have not provided such statistics.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said at least one of its helicopters was shot down and 12 soldiers were “martyred.” Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan told the country’s National Security Council that 18 Armenian soldiers were killed and 35 wounded.
Both sides have blamed each other for Saturday's clashes.
