Fire breaks out in Isfahan's historic bazaar

Isfahan fire officials announced a fire in the city's carpet market.
According to Iranian media reports, the fire broke out on the morning of Wednesday, August 17, in the Saqakhaneh section of the carpet market.
Some news agencies have said that the fire did not cause any casualties or property damage and that its cause is under investigation.
A spokesman for the fire department said that the speed of firefighters' action prevented the flames from spreading.
Isfahan Carpet Bazaar is located in the historic and old neighborhood of the city, next to the New Bazaar and the Red Mosque in the traditional fabric of Isfahan, in Naqsh-e Jahan Square.
