Another women's and children's rights activist arrested in Iran

Zohreh Sayadi, a women's and children's rights activist, has been arrested in recent days after security officers raided her home.
The Campaign to Defend Political and Civil Prisoners announced on Thursday, December 11, that this women's and children's rights activist was arrested on Tuesday, December 9, in a raid on her home by security officers and transferred to Evin Prison.
According to this report, before arresting Ms. Sayadi, security agents searched her home and confiscated a number of personal belongings, including a laptop, a computer hard drive, and a number of CDs.
Also, at this moment, there is no exact information about the reason for the arrest or charges against this children's rights activist.
Zahra Sayadi, the sister of Zohra Sayadi, also posted a picture of her sister giving a speech alongside two Baloch women on Twitter, writing: "This is probably one of those unforgivable crimes my sister committed. Along with the Baloch women, they reminded her of having an ID card and legal identity. Knowing your rights seems to be the biggest crime."
Recently, Nahid Shaghaghi, Akram Nasirian, Maryam Mohammadi, and Asrin Darkale, four women's rights activists and members of the "Voice of Iranian Women" association, were sentenced to a total of four years and two months in prison by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Afshari, each on charges of "gathering and collusion," "propaganda against the system," and "pretending to commit an unlawful act by not wearing a hijab."
According to a report by Amnesty International, in 2018, more than seven thousand people, including participants in demonstrations, students, journalists, women's rights activists, environmental activists, labor activists, and ethnic and religious minority rights activists, were arrested in Iran, and hundreds were sentenced to prison.
The US State Department also says that the Iranian regime has arrested thousands of protesters, civil activists, and representatives of workers and other trade unions in the last two years.
The United States has repeatedly and on various occasions condemned the violent confrontations and widespread repression of protesters and civil activists, as well as the repeated and persistent violations of the rights of Iranian citizens by the ruling regime in that country.
