Benjamin Netanyahu: Iranian Regime is a Threat to Israel’s Existence and the Fate of All Humanity

Benjamin Netanyahu considered Iran’s regime’s acquisition of nuclear weapons a threat to Israel’s existence and all of humanity.
Yamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, warned during a Holocaust memorial ceremony in Jerusalem about the Islamic Republic’s acquisition of nuclear weapons, considering it a major threat to the fate of all humanity. In his remarks, he said: “We will fight with determination against extremist regimes that threaten the entire world and Israel’s existence, and this is the main lesson of the Holocaust.”
The Holocaust, or in Hebrew “Shoah,” refers to the massacre and genocide of approximately six million European Jews based on race, religion, and nationality at the hands of Nazi Germany during World War II, which occurred from 1941 until the end of 1945. These massacres were organized in the form of mass shootings, ethnic cleansing through forced labor camps in Nazi Germany, vans, and gas chambers including Auschwitz, Majdanek, Chelmno, Treblinka, and Belzec, which resulted in the killing of approximately two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population in this event. Nazi Germans carried out the persecution and killing of Jews in several stages.
European Jews were not the only ones targeted for ethnic cleansing during the Holocaust period; non-Jewish Poles, Soviet civilians and prisoners of war, Roma, the disabled, political and religious opponents, and homosexual men were also killed by the Nazi government. International Holocaust Remembrance Day is January 27, but memorial ceremonies are held annually according to the Hebrew calendar, in April or May as well.
Benjamin Netanyahu, at the Holocaust memorial ceremony, expressed his concerns about the endangerment of the fate of all humanity and another Holocaust should the Iranian regime acquire nuclear weapons. He said at this ceremony: “The Iranian regime is a threat to our fate, to our existence, and to the fate of all humanity.”
He also added regarding the defense of his country: “No one can prevent us from defending ourselves. If we must stand alone, we will stand alone. If we need to fight with our fingernails, we will fight, but we will not fall short.
If we lose this battle, Western countries will be the next target. Israel will not lose, will not surrender, and will not retreat.”
Netanyahu’s expression of concern and statements at the Holocaust memorial ceremony and reference to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear weapons came as the United States and the Islamic Republic were negotiating over Iran’s nuclear program. Iran has repeatedly emphasized that its nuclear program pursues only peaceful purposes, but these statements are in stark contradiction with uranium enrichment up to 60 percent, which contradicts the peaceful nature of the nuclear program.
Netanyahu has also repeatedly promised that he will not allow the Islamic Republic to acquire nuclear weapons. Donald Trump, the United States President, also warned that if Iran refuses to reach a nuclear agreement with the United States, he will bomb Iran.
