Citizen Dies in Qom Following Police Shooting During Chase

Hrana News Agency – Following a shooting during a police chase with several suspects in Qom, a citizen who was passing through in his vehicle was struck by gunfire and lost his life.

According to Hrana News Agency, citing the police news portal, a citizen of Qom was killed following an armed clash between police and suspects.

The Deputy Commander of Operations of Qom Province’s Police Command stated that the suspects were spotted on Jumhouri Boulevard on charges of carrying weapons and narcotics, and an order to stop was issued to the driver. He added: The driver ignored the police warning and continued on his route, and during the armed clash, the suspect’s vehicle was stopped and the suspect was arrested.

Torabi stated: In this clash, a 24-year-old driver of a passing Quick vehicle was injured and transferred to the hospital, where he died as a result of the severity of his injuries.
