The protest gathering of telecommunications retirees continues across various provinces.
It has been months since protests and gatherings by retirees from various organizations to demand their rights have been ongoing, yet not only have their demands received no attention, but they have not even been addressed.
Today, Monday, September 24, 2023, retirees of the Telecommunications Company in Kermanshah and Gilan staged a protest gathering and, in front of the telecommunications building in the area, chanted protest slogans demanding their rights.
The failure to address retirees’ demands comes at a time when the regime has spent enormous amounts in recent months on suppressing the people. From hiring foreign individuals for suppression to purchasing weapons to suppress the people—expenditures that could have saved many people from poverty.
