Donald Trump: Iran Will Be Held Responsible for Every Attack by Houthis

Donald Trump stated that every attack by Yemeni Houthis should be considered as coming from Iran, placing responsibility for such attacks on Tehran.

In recent days, amid escalating tensions between Yemeni Houthis and the United States, Donald Trump warned that any attack by the Houthis would be considered as coming from Iran and would have severe consequences for Tehran. He posted a message on the social media network Truth regarding these attacks, writing: “From this moment on, any fire from the Houthis will be considered as fire from Iran’s leadership and weapons, Iran will be held responsible, will face the consequences, and those consequences will be severe.”

The Houthis announced two attacks on the night of Sunday, March 16, with 18 missiles and drones against the USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier of the U.S. Navy, and in response to U.S. attacks today, declared that their attacks would intensify.

Following the Houthi attack on the night of Sunday, March 16, Donald Trump, along with Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor, Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, and Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, stated that these attacks are a warning to Tehran to cease supporting the Houthis.

A U.S. official stated that American fighter jets shot down Houthi drones in yesterday’s attack and none of the drones hit the Truman aircraft carrier. He also remarked: “U.S. forces tracked a missile that fell in waters near Yemen’s shores and was not considered a threat.”

The Houthis had announced last week that if Israel continues to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, they will continue targeting Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea. The United States also warned the Houthis that as long as their attacks on ships in the Red Sea do not stop, it will continue its own strikes and will use lethal force to do so.
