Four Days Without News of 16-Year-Old Arzhin Jundi in Piranshahr Following Detention by Intelligence Forces
Arzhin Jundi, a 16-year-old child from Piranshahr, remains in an unknown location four days after his detention by intelligence forces, while his family remains unaware of his fate and the charges against him. According to reports, security forces entered the teenager’s family home in Kuper village, Piranshahr on September 20 (Shahrivar 20) and arrested him without presenting any judicial warrant. According to a report by human rights organization Hengaw, Arzhin Jundi, a 16-year-old from Piranshahr, was detained by intelligence forces on Friday, September 20, 1405 (September 11, 2026).
Reports indicate that security forces raided the teenager’s family home in Kuper (Kawpêr) village and arrested him without presenting any document or judicial warrant, taking him away. Four days have now passed since this detention, and no specific information has been released about his place of detention, his physical and mental condition, or the charges alleged against him.
Arzhin’s family has also made inquiries to learn of their son’s fate, but these efforts have so far been unsuccessful.
One of the main concerns in Arzhin Jundi’s case is the lack of transparency regarding the reason for detention and possible charges.
