Tehran Prosecutor: 30 Market Disruption Brokers and Dealers Arrested

Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi, the Tehran Prosecutor, announced the arrest of 30 “market disruptors and brokers” in the poultry market.

According to ILNA, the Tehran Prosecutor stated: “Following a decision made in the anti-profiteering committee, which was held on Saturday at the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office with the presence of representatives of relevant authorities, it was decided that market-regulated chicken would be supplied at the approved price (11,500 tomans). Unfortunately, 30 major brokers attempted to further disrupt the poultry market through profiteering and by not supplying chicken to the market.”

The supply of red meat and poultry in recent months in Iran has faced a very chaotic situation, and people have had to stand in line for hours to obtain them.
