Twelve Death Row Inmates and 8 Juvenile Offenders Included in Pardon and Sentence Reduction Decree

The Judicial Deputy of the Judiciary announced a “pardon” and sentence reduction for more than 3,000 prisoners, including 12 death row inmates. Among this number, 107 female prisoners, 9 foreign nationals, and 8 prisoners under 18 years old have been included in the decree known as “pardon” or sentence reduction.

According to Hrana news agency citing Iran Watch, the Judicial Deputy of the Judiciary announced a pardon and sentence reduction for more than 3,000 prisoners, including 12 death row inmates.

Rahimi, stating that 3,278 individuals were among those pardoned by the judiciary, continued: “Among those pardoned on 22 Bahman of this year, 107 were women, 9 were foreign nationals, 8 were under 18 years old, and 12 were among those who were included in the pardon list in implementation of Article 20”.
