80 Percent of Flood Victims in Sistan and Baluchestan Deprived of Clean Water

A representative of the nursing deputy office at the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education said: The problems faced by flood-affected people are very severe. One of the main problems for the people of this province is limited access to clean drinking water. According to statistics, approximately 23 percent of people in areas currently affected by floods have access to safe drinking water. However, in general, providing safe drinking water in normal times is also a problem for many people in this region.
He continued: The extent of damage in flood-affected areas is very large. Under normal conditions and before the floods, in many villages water was stored and consumed in water reservoirs, but now due to the floods, many water reservoirs have been destroyed. Flood-affected people are worried and complaining about the lack of safe and sufficient drinking water; they do not have the ability to bathe.
