Two Baloch Children Drowned in “Shkarjangal” River in Sarbaz County

Two Baloch children from Sarbaz County drowned in the “Shkarjangal” River and lost their lives.

Balochistan Province is deprived of drinking water in most cases, and water is cut off in many regions for extended periods. In the village of “Shkarjangal,” water has been cut off for seventeen days, and Baloch citizens go to the banks of the “Shkarjangal” River to obtain the water they need and to wash clothes and dishes.

Due to the lack of proper drinking water infrastructure, many women and children drown in the aforementioned river each year, or suffer amputation, injury, or lose their lives as a result of crocodile attacks.

“Marwan and Abdullah Ebrahimi” were children who went to the “Shkarjangal” River with their mother to obtain water, and fell into the river while playing, losing their lives.

The drowning of these two children and many other mothers and children who have lost their lives in this river due to water scarcity demonstrates the inability of the region’s primary authorities to provide drinking water to the people.
