Mohammad Najafi, Attorney-at-Law, Re-arrested Four Days After Release from Prison

Mohammad Najafi, an attorney-at-law and human rights activist, was re-arrested four days after his release from prison.
Mr. Najafi’s relatives confirmed the news of his arrest. Following his arrest, he was transferred to Arak Central Prison to serve his ten-year sentence.
Previously, Mohammad Najafi was released on Thursday, April 28th, through a “pardon” while serving his three-year sentence in Arak Prison for charges of propaganda activities on behalf of groups and organizations opposed to the regime and insulting the Supreme Leader.
This attorney-at-law was previously arrested in 2017 following his reporting on Vahid Heidari, one of the December 2017 protestors who died in custody at a detention center in Arak.
