Urgent Gathering Held in Tehran Following Armita Garavand’s Coma

Tehran residents organized an urgent gathering following Armita Garavand’s fall into a coma.

Following the incident that occurred to Armita Garavand in the metro, which resulted in her coma due to mandatory hijab enforcement and subsequent media coverage, widespread reactions emerged among the public.

For this purpose, Tehran residents organized a gathering for Tuesday, the 11th of Mehr, at 5 PM in front of Fajr Hospital in Tehran, before reaching the Air Force Headquarters, after Soleymanieh three-way intersection, on Fajr Street.

According to reports published by residents, all intersections and areas around the hospital have been disrupted by heavy traffic. Tehran residents from all 22 districts were urged not to remain silent but to head towards Fajr Hospital so that their silence would not lead to another similar tragic incident.
