Massive fire breaks out in Mahestan Passage/Firefighting continues

The head of the NAJA Traffic Police Traffic Control Center announced a massive fire in Mahestan Passage in Enghelab Square and said: "The containment of the flames is still ongoing."
Colonel Mohammad Razzaqi, speaking to Mehr reporter about the details of the incident, said: "At 4:50 p.m. today, a fire incident was reported on South Kargar Street, Labafinejad Street."
He added: "With the presence of traffic police and fire department officers, it was determined that a fire had broken out in the Mahestan Passage and had engulfed the entire building."
He pointed out that the operation to contain the flames in this fire is currently ongoing and noted: "North to south from Enghelab Square and south to north from the Jomhuri Bebrli intersection are blocked as soon as possible for firefighting auxiliary elements to arrive to extinguish the fire."
Firefighters are currently at the scene with all equipment and are continuing to extinguish the flames. The cause of the incident has not yet been announced.
