Fire in commercial building in Tehran leaves at least 9 injured

A massive fire in the Lidoma commercial building in western Tehran has left at least nine injured.

On Monday, June 20, Mojtaba Khalidi, spokesman for the Emergency Organization, announced that two women and seven men have been injured in the incident so far.

Images released from Lidoma Passage show thick smoke billowing into the sky from the upper floors of the building.

Jalal Maleki, spokesman for the Fire Department, also said that the fire was extensive, but the cause of the incident has not yet been determined and firefighters are extinguishing the fire.

He said 30 people were rescued from the incident and the building is being evacuated.
