Temporary release of Christian citizen "Sumiyeh Rajabi" after posting a heavy bail

"Sumiyeh Rajabi", a Christian citizen, was temporarily released from Babol Prison after posting a heavy bail until the end of the trial.

On February 18, 1403, after visiting a garden in the city of "Getab" in Babol city, which was a gathering place for Christians, Somayeh Rajabi was arrested by security agents and, after completing the interrogation, was transferred from the security detention center in Sari city to "Mati Kala" prison in Babol on charges of "propaganda against the system and society and collusion."

According to a report recently published by the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, he was temporarily released from the aforementioned prison on Saturday, March 9, after completing the interrogation and explanation of the charges, after posting a hefty bail of four billion Tomans until the end of the trial.

Arrest, interrogation, imprisonment, issuance of heavy sentences and bails against Christian citizens, while according to Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which the Islamic Republic is a signatory, every person has the right to freedom of religion and to change their religion with conviction, as well as the freedom to express it individually or collectively and publicly or privately.
