Abuse leads to murder of 6-year-old child in Karaj

A six-year-old boy in Karaj who was subjected to severe physical torture and sexual abuse by his cousin died after being taken to the hospital. The suspect has been arrested and taken to prison.
According to HRANA news agency, citing Shargh, a few days ago, the half-dead body of a six-year-old child was taken to a hospital in Karaj, and the child's aunt, who claimed that the child had fallen, asked the doctors to save him.
The woman claimed: "I was washing the house when the child slipped on the floor and fell."
These statements did not seem logical to the doctors, so the body was sent to the forensic medicine to determine the exact cause of death. After examining the body, the experts announced that the child had been severely tortured and there were signs of sexual abuse on his body. The exact cause of death was also stated to be a fractured skull and brain hemorrhage due to a hard blow to the head. Accordingly, the child's aunt was interrogated.
She confessed to beating and abusing the boy and said: “My brother-in-law and his wife had separated and neither of them was willing to keep this child, so my husband brought him to our house to take care of the child. I had a disagreement with my wife about this and said it was none of my business to take care of your brother’s child. But my husband insisted on raising his brother’s child himself and said this child should not be raised in welfare. The child had no control over his urine and would wet himself every time. On the day of the incident, when he wet himself, I got angry and hit him. His head hit the wall and he became unconscious. I immediately wet the floor and told my husband that the child had slipped and fallen. We immediately took him to the hospital, and they said they could not help the child, so we took him to another hospital to save him.”
Regarding the signs of abuse on the child's body, the accused said: "Because the child did not have control over his urine, every time he wet himself, I punished him with a stick so that he would learn not to wet himself again. The signs of abuse on his body deserve punishment."
After the cause of the child's heartbreaking death was determined, the child's parents filed a complaint against the accused, and the case was forwarded to the prosecutor's office. Alborz Police Chief Nader Beigi confirmed the news and said, "The accused has been transferred to prison and the investigation into him is ongoing."
