Official coronavirus statistics in Iran: 112 deaths and more than 11,000 infections

According to official statistics, with the death of 112 patients infected with the coronavirus in Iran in the past 24 hours, the total number of deaths from the disease in the country has reached 83,329.

Iranian media outlets, citing the Ministry of Health's public relations department, also reported that 11,059 new coronavirus patients have been identified in the country in the past 24 hours, of which 1,299 were hospitalized.

Accordingly, the total number of coronavirus patients in the country has reached 3,128,395.

While refusing to provide disaggregated statistics, the Iranian Ministry of Health provides the media with daily statistics on infections and deaths from the coronavirus, statistics whose accuracy is questioned by independent sources.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 22 red and 175 orange cities, and according to the approvals of the National Task Force for Combating Corona, travel "from" and "to" cities with red and orange status is prohibited. There are also 251 cities in yellow status.
