Official coronavirus statistics in Iran: 219 more patients die, 3,609 are in critical condition

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health announced that 219 more people in Iran have died from the coronavirus. 3,609 patients are under observation due to severe infection.
On Wednesday, August 2, Sima Lari announced the number of identified coronavirus cases in Iran over the past 24 hours at 2,586.
Including these people, the official number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran reached 281,413 and the official number of victims reached 14,853.
The announcement of daily coronavirus statistics in Iran continues while there are serious doubts about the accuracy of these statistics, and independent sources, based on reports from the Iranian Civil Registration Organization and cemeteries, report multiple deaths from the virus in the country.
Ms. Lari also said that among the new cases, 1,934 people, nearly two-thirds of them, have been hospitalized.
According to this report, 3,609 patients with COVID-19 in Iran are under intensive care.
According to the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, the provinces of Mazandaran, Fars, East and West Azerbaijan, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Golestan, Kerman, Zanjan, and Ilam are in red status.
The provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Qazvin, Markazi, North Khorasan, Hamedan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Ardabil, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer Ahmad are also on alert.
Mehr News Agency also quoted Kianoush Jahanpour, head of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health, as saying that "the normalization of some people and officials" in the face of the coronavirus is the cause of the resurgence of the disease in Iran.
IRNA also quoted Hossein Qanaeti, head of the think tank of the Corona Management Operations Command Headquarters in the Tehran metropolis, as warning that if Corona in Iran is not managed properly, there is a risk of an explosion of the disease and it will face a very large number of deaths.
