US sanctions five Iranian captains for transporting fuel to Venezuela

The United States on Wednesday, July 25, sanctioned five Iranian captains for transporting gasoline to Venezuela. The U.S. Treasury Department says they transported 1.5 million barrels of Iranian gasoline and other related products to Venezuela “to support the illegitimate Maduro regime.”
The five were the captains of the oil tankers Clavel, Petunia, Fortune, Forest, and Faxon. The details of the sanctioned individuals are as follows:

Mohsen Gohardeh, passport number E52807849, passport expiration date March 5, 2025. Date of birth September 14, 1985.

Reza Vaziri, passport number T45534988, passport expiration date May 8, 2023. Date of birth March 5, 1967.
Hamidreza Yahyizadeh Passport details not mentioned in Treasury Department statement. Date of birth October 12, 1961.
