The strike of Ruhollah Mardani, a teacher imprisoned in Evin, continues.

Ruhollah Mardani, a teacher imprisoned in Evin, has suffered from physical problems such as dizziness, general weakness, and kidney pain following a long hunger strike, but security and judicial authorities refuse to address his protest and provide him with appropriate medical facilities.

The Iranian Human Rights Campaign wrote in its report on the condition of this imprisoned teacher, Ruhollah Mardani, who was sentenced to six years in prison and two years of social exclusion, has refused to eat since June 19 in protest of the unfair trial, sentence, and salary cut.

Interrogation without the presence of a lawyer, an unreasonable verdict, and a flawed trial record are among the issues that have led Mr. Mardani to embark on a long-term hunger strike.

Since the beginning of Ruhollah Mardani's arrest, the Department of Education's security has also cut off his salary due to unjustified absences.
