Continuation of Sexual Relations Movement Among Clergy in Gilan

The movement of sexual relations among clergy in Gilan continues.

Gilan Radio reported on the sexual relationship of Hojjat al-Islam “Hagshenас”, Deputy of Enjoining Good in Gilan, with his companion. According to the statement of the “Gilan Radio” director, the moral corruption case of “Mehdi Hagshenаs” was brought before the clergy court, but with the intervention of “Ayatollah Falahati”, the representative of Ali Khamenei in Gilan, this case was covered up.

The Gilan Radio Telegram channel announced in part of this report that Mehdi Hagshenаs was dismissed from his position after this scandal, but now he has appeared in Anzali Port for holding the second week of Muharram, and every night he goes on the pulpit and illegally, while wearing clerical robes, gives speeches and recites elegies.

Also, a video of a chat between Mehdi Hagshenаs and his companion was released, in which they discuss arranging a meeting for the purpose of establishing a sexual relationship.

In recent weeks, we have witnessed another case regarding sexual relations (sodomy) of another cleric in northern Iran. Cases that not only have not been punished, but have been appointed to other positions. A punishment that according to Article 234 of the Islamic Penal Code approved in 1392, the punishment for sodomy for the active party, if it involves violence, coercion, or in the presence of the condition of being muhsan (chaste), is execution, and in other cases, one hundred lashes. The punishment for sodomy for the passive party in any case (whether muhsan or not) is execution.

The above punishment for the act of sodomy is while the ruling power not only does not enforce these punishments for these individuals, but they freely continue their activities under other titles, while justice-seeking individuals, Christians, political activists, and others are unjustly and innocently detained, tortured, executed, and even subjected to assault.
