"University of London professor released from Iranian prison and returns to Britain"

Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing the BBC, that Abbas Adalat, a British citizen of Iranian descent imprisoned in Iran, had been released and returned to Britain.
Abbas Adalat, a professor of mathematics and computer science at Imperial College London, was arrested in Iran in mid-April of this year on security charges and transferred to Evin Prison.
According to Reuters, the news agency's calls to British Foreign Office officials for comment on this news were unsuccessful due to the Christmas holiday.
At least two other dual Iranian-British citizens, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Kamal Foroughi, are currently imprisoned in Iran.
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was arrested at the airport in April 2016 as she attempted to leave Iran. She was sentenced to five years in prison for participating in a “soft coup.”
Baqer and Siamak Namazi, father and son of Iranian-American descent, Nizar Zaka, a Lebanese citizen residing in the United States, Zhiyu Wang, an American of Chinese descent, as well as Robert Levinson, who has been missing on Kish Island since March 2007, are among the citizens whom Washington calls "hostages of Iran."
The United States says Iran is imprisoning some people with the intention of gaining points and making false accusations.
