Dispatching 250 female students to southern operational areas

The commander of the Basij Resistance District of "Pol Dokhtar" announced the dispatch of 250 female students to the southern operational areas.

Contrary to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Colonel Majid Beiranvand, commander of the Pol-e-Dokhtar Basij Resistance District, announced the dispatch of 250 female students from this city as part of the Rahian-e-Noor convoy to the operational area in the south of the country yesterday.

Regarding the dispatch of this convoy to the southern operational areas, he said: "This number of students, in the form of five buses, one of which belongs to the city of Muqallan, were sent by the Abolfazl Lorestan Corps from Pol-e-Dokhtar on a spiritual and cultural journey of the Path of Light. Over the course of three days, these students will visit the martyrs' memorials located in the operational areas of the Holy Defense era, such as Fath al-Mobin, Shalamcheh, Fakah, Dehlaviyeh, Hoveyzeh, and the cultural and combat program of the Martyr Masoudian Barracks."

"This mission aims to familiarize young people and teenagers with the values ​​and goals of martyrs, warriors, and their bravery and sacrifice, to transfer the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, and to cooperate with the governor and the Pol-e Dokhtar Education Department."

He added about this three-day trip to the operational areas: "A religious missionary, narrator, and speaker will accompany this spiritual caravan, and the distribution of cultural packages, reminiscences of the veterans of the Sacred Defense, and spiritual rituals are among the most important side programs of the Rahian Noor students' processions in Pol-e-Dokhtar."

The dispatch of these female students to operational areas comes at a time when, according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, a child is defined as a person under the age of 18, to which Iran has been a party since 1994. According to this commitment, the use of children and adolescents in militarism is prohibited. However, like the sections on child labor, punishment and execution, and legal marriage of children, this part of the commitment is also ignored by the Iranian government through military training and the employment of people under the age of 18.
