Amir Abdollahian invited Erdogan to visit Iran

According to Iranian media reports, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Iran.
Amir Abdollahian, who traveled to Turkey, met and held talks with Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday. The visit of the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ankara was made at the invitation of Turkish officials.
AmirAbdollahian's visit to Turkey took place in a situation where the Israeli Foreign Minister announced during his recent visit to Turkey that an Iranian plot to target Israeli citizens in Turkey had been thwarted with the cooperation of Ankara.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also implied in a joint press conference with his Israeli counterpart that a message had been sent to Iran in this regard and that Turkey would not tolerate such actions.
Meanwhile, the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported on Tuesday that the Iranian Foreign Minister, in his recent remarks in Turkey, apparently stated that Tehran would remain silent in the face of a (possible) Turkish invasion of northern Syria.
Turkey has long threatened to invade northern Syria. Turkey sees Kurdish groups in northern Syria as a threat to itself. American officials have expressed concern about Ankara's threats. Some of these forces are Washington's allies in the fight against ISIS.
On the other hand, Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency reported that Turkey's foreign minister said on Monday that Ankara opposes "unilateral sanctions" against Iran and hopes that the 2015 nuclear deal between world powers and Iran, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will be revived.
Turkey had previously expressed hope that Iranian oil would return to the global market. Turkey relies heavily on energy imports from abroad. Oil prices have risen sharply in recent months, putting further pressure on the economies of oil-importing countries, including Turkey, which has been struggling in recent months.
