Reports of civilians killed in IRGC attacks on a village in Zahedan city

Following an artillery and ground attack by military and IRGC forces on the village of Towabeh Korin in Zahedan city, the IRGC announced that Gholam Shahbakhsh and five members of his group were killed in the attack.

The statement referred to these individuals as "armed thugs."

According to a statement from the IRGC's Quds Force Headquarters, Gholam Shah Bakhsh was killed along with five others during clashes in southeastern Iran and the identification of the location of the armed forces, who were referred to in the statement as "armed thugs."

According to some media reports, the IRGC forces launched a heavy attack on the village of Shoro in the Korin region of Zahedan city on Saturday, using heavy weapons and artillery, and clashed with Baloch citizens. A number of civilians, including a woman and a 12-year-old child, were also killed as a result of these attacks.

Some independent news sources in Sistan and Baluchestan have also reported the killing of five IRGC soldiers, namely Mehdi Asghari, commander of the Korin Sector, Mehdi Kohistani, Azizollah Tohidi Bazi, Javad Shahbazi, and Hamed Shahraki. IRNA News Agency has confirmed the killing of four of these individuals.

Following clashes between the Shahbakhsh, or Esmailzai, clan and security forces last month, which resulted in the deaths of three law enforcement officers and a conscript, IRGC forces have launched widespread attacks on members of the clan.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Monitoring news site also reported that after killing a Baloch woman and child, the IRGC forces used artillery attacks to force confessions from several Baloch citizens, including Mohammad Ali Shahbakhsh and two others. The arrested individuals were identified as Mohammad Ali Shahbakhsh, Abdul Wahab Shahbakhsh, and Zubair Shahbakhsh.
