Two accused of animal cruelty arrested in Sardasht

The head of the Sardasht Environmental Protection Department announced the arrest of two people accused of animal cruelty in the city who were organizing dog fights.

According to HRANA news agency, quoting IRNA, the head of the Sardasht Environmental Protection Department announced the arrest of two people accused of animal cruelty in the city.

Khaled Bayazidi said in this regard: "These two defendants were among the main perpetrators of dog fighting and dog fighting, who, through illegal gatherings, had pitted dogs against each other for entertainment and income, causing public resentment."

He continued: "By publishing videos and images on social media, in cooperation with judicial authorities and the FATA police, the identification of individuals was put on the agenda, and the violators were arrested in coordination with the prosecutor's office."

The head of the Sardasht Environmental Protection Department stated: “According to the follow-up of the Sardasht Environmental Protection Department regarding the holding of dog fights and animal abuse, as well as wounding the public mind, the charges against the defendants in this case have been proven and proven, and they were convicted pursuant to Article 679 of the Penal Code.”
