Arrest of a member of the board of directors of the Kurdistan Teachers' Association on the eve of a gathering of educators

Informed sources have reported the arrest of Mohammad Reza Moradi, a member of the board of directors of the Sanandaj-Kalatarzan branch of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union, by security forces.
The Hengaw website, citing these sources, wrote in a report that Mr. Moradi was arrested in front of his home on the evening of Tuesday, June 14.
The report states that security forces arrested Mohammad Reza Moradi without providing any judicial papers.
The arrest of the education teacher comes on the eve of a gathering of educators across Iran that will take place on Thursday. In recent days, the Coordination Council of Iranian Educators' Unions has issued a call for teachers to gather again and has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all detained teachers.
The council's statement says: "We declare loudly and clearly that if our colleagues are not released immediately and unconditionally, and the legitimate and legitimate demands of Iranian teachers are not met, union protests will continue."
The statement called on educators across Iran to hold a protest rally on Thursday, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Iranian teachers have repeatedly held peaceful protest rallies in recent years to protest their living conditions and the government's indifference to their demands.
The incomplete approval of the teacher ranking plan, the failure to implement the equalization of pensioner salaries, and the "continuous and systematic" repression of union activists have been the main focuses of teacher protests in the past year.
