Palio also said about Canada's foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic, "We can't control who Saudi Arabia and Iran choose as their partners, but what we can control is how we treat the Iranian regime, and I think we need devastating and crippling economic sanctions."

He also said they should pressure other allies to impose similar sanctions. Ban the Revolutionary Guard Corps, create a foreign influence registry to identify and deport people who work on behalf of Tehran, are paid by it, and advance the agenda of that dictatorship in Canada.

Pallio continued that they can control the people of the regime who are in Canada and the money they steal from the Iranian people and use, but he stated that we cannot do business with Iran. The Canadian government, as a Conservative, has expelled the Iranian ambassador and closed the Iranian embassy, ​​and Pallio also announced that he will maintain this policy.
