Benjamin Netanyahu: Just as Cyrus liberated the Jews, we will also liberate the Iranians
In a message, Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel liberated the Iranians just as Cyrus liberated the Jews.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a message published in Israeli media, said: "During the war with Iran, when I directly addressed the Iranian people, I referred to the amazing charter of Cyrus the Great 2,500 years ago. Cyrus the Great liberated us Jews and paved the way for our return to Zion. We too will one day liberate the Iranian people from the tyranny that has oppressed them for nearly half a century."
Referring to Israel's 12-day war on nuclear, military, and nuclear scientists centers in Iran, Netanyahu stated: "Our recent operation may have already created cracks in this tyranny and begun a process that the Iranian people will continue and complete with their own hands."
Netanyahu's message was published yesterday by Israeli media, and Ali Khamenei responded to Netanyahu's message by saying, "During the war with Israel, the people, contrary to the enemy's imagination, rose up to support and provide life and financial support to the regime."
The Israeli Prime Minister has repeatedly mentioned Cyrus the Great, King of Iran, and the relationship between Jews and Iranians in his speeches. In April 1401, he also said about Iranian culture and the historical connection between Jews and ancient Iran: "We had a man we will never forget! Cyrus the Great, whose name is in our holy book. When we talk about Cyrus, we are talking about the great leader of a great civilization and we honor his memory, who helped build the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and return the exiled Jews from Babylon."
