Six Citizens Arrested on Charges of Advertising Content in Cyberspace

The head of the Cybercrimes Police (Feta) announced the arrest of six people in Tabriz on charges of posting advertising content in cyberspace.

According to Mehr news agency, six Tabriz citizens whose arrest was due to publishing advertising content titled “violation of public decency” have been transferred to the prosecutor’s office along with their case files.

The head of Feta police in East Azerbaijan stated that these citizens were operators of a channel on one of the social networks. Mohsen Mahmoudi also announced that the reason for the arrest of these individuals was the publication of advertising content under the title of “unauthorized, unethical, contrary to public decency and social norms” advertisements.

Mohsen Mahmoudi, while referring to the opening of a case against these citizens, stated that the defendants have been transferred to the prosecutor’s office along with their case files for investigation.

It should be noted that so far, no information is available regarding the identity of the arrested citizens and other charges against them.
