Following family opposition to marriage, 16-year-old boy commits suicide with 28-year-old woman

A 16-year-old teenager and a 28-year-old woman in Lordegan city, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, committed suicide by tying their hands together and throwing themselves into the Karun 4 dam. The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.

According to HRANA, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, a 16-year-old teenager and a 28-year-old woman committed suicide in Lordegan city.

The identity of this teenager, Ahmad Reza R., 16 years old and from Lordegan city, has been confirmed by HRANA.

The teenager, along with a 28-year-old woman named Fatemeh A., committed suicide by tying their hands together and throwing themselves into the Karun 4 dam. According to an informed source, the motive for the suicide of these two citizens was their families' opposition to their marriage.

It should be noted that among the educational items that the Iranian government prevents from being presented is the 2030 document, which deals with educating children and adolescents in the field of sex and interpersonal relationships.

The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.
