From Rex Cinema to Evin: History Repeats Itself

From Rex Cinema to Evin, history repeats itself; on Friday, August 27, 1979, four criminals hired by the clerics poured airplane fuel on the doors and walls of Rex Cinema and set it ablaze. In that fire, 420 people were burned alive, paving the way for the revolution or, more accurately, for the great deception in 1980. At that time, the Iranian people were in a state of negligent slumber.

No one believed at that time that such a terrible act could be the work of the religious figures of the era. But today, after 43 years have passed since thousands of young people were burned and scattered, the people’s eyes have opened and their attention has focused. Today’s youth are from the Twitter generation and are aware of every social issue, and they lack the simplicity of people 43 years ago.

Today the Rex Cinema incident has repeated itself. Evin Prison, recognized as the most well-known prison in the country, was set ablaze. Over the past two nights, Evin experienced a terrible fire, leaving behind a highly tense atmosphere.

There are many indications, such as the commotion heard before the fire started, reports from neighbors, and video footage, suggesting that this fire was intentional and concealed a sinister purpose. But what sinister goal was intended? What documents and evidence were they trying to destroy by setting the prison ablaze? What intellectual, writer, or dissident did they attempt to eliminate through this act? The reason for all these events will certainly be revealed in the future.

But this time the difference is that the Iranian people are not drowsy and will not be deceived so easily by deceivers. Evin does not have the drowsiness of November’s silence, and the children deceived yesterday are no longer in a state of negligent slumber.

Although the bloodthirsty regime, over 43 years, by helping distribute cheap heroin, crystal meth, and crack, has enslaved more than 3 million people, left them in a coma, and pushed them to the margins of destitution; and has also held some 30 million relatives and family members of these people captive in some way, the youth who have witnessed the depths of corruption and darkness this time are no longer willing to submit to this decay.

The Iranian people have awakened and become vigilant, and are standing at the cost of their lives to end this oppression and corruption, so that they may reclaim the freedom of their country and their fellow humans.

Stasi, the fearsome intelligence agency of East Germany, which was founded in 1950 and sucked the blood of the German people for 40 years until 1990, had 90,015 full-time employees and 174,000 informants. This bloodthirsty organization was demolished by the people during a few months of uprising, and fortunately did not have the opportunity to burn documents. However, many secrets were revealed during the years of freedom.

The hope is that we all learn from history.

If the Stasi, with its demonic claws, was uprooted and brought about the freedom of Germany and the reunification of East and West Germany, it is hoped that with the severing of these satanic hands from the people’s throat, truth will be revealed, and instead of discord and division of ethnicities, unity and memorable and constructive affection will illuminate the Iranian nation once more.

With the help of the God of mercy and the prayers of Iranian Christian believers, throughout Iran and the world, and with the prayers of all Iranian ethnicities, may we be blessed by God’s grace to witness the sun of justice shining over the land of Iran.
