"Sadegh Zibakalaam": Mr. Salehi, the creation of culture is nothing more than a mirage

Sadeq Ziba Kalam addressed Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Guidance and Guidance: "Mr. Salehi, the creation of culture is nothing more than a mirage."

"Sadegh Zibakalam Mofard" was a professor of law and political science at the University of Tehran and a professor at the Science and Research Branch of Azad University. He is also an author and an Iranian expert with a reformist and neoliberal orientation. In the field of foreign policy, he is a critic of the Islamic Republic government and a supporter of normalizing Iran's relations with Western countries.

He recently criticized the words of Dr. Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Islamic Guidance, regarding the popularity of South Korean pop music among Iranians, especially youth and teenagers, writing: "Mr. Dr. Salehi, Minister of Islamic Guidance, was dissatisfied with the popularity of South Korean pop music among Iranian youth, and blamed the weakness and inefficiency of the authorities in cultural development based on our rich classical and modern Persian music."

Referring to numerous economic problems, unemployment, and the like, he added: "This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time, that officials blame social problems on the weakness of cultural development. Officials believe that culture can be created, meaning that the system can create its desired norms, behaviors, and beliefs, from social to religious to moral styles and conduct, hijab, and philosophical and historical beliefs, in short, whatever it wants, through education and propaganda, and transmit them to new generations."

He also referred to the year 2013, during the presidency of Hassan Rouhani, and continued: "I remember that at the beginning of Mr. Rouhani's presidency, because some extremist clerics did not consider his government to be theirs, they began to criticize him for not allocating enough budget for religious institutions. I also prepared a statistic of the official budgets of government agencies and showed that the total budget of the organs, institutions, and organizations responsible for religious affairs is several times that of our Environmental Organization and universities, which of course is the purpose of all this spending, the mirage of cultural development."

Of course, it is not just the Islamic Republic that has been pursuing the mirage of cultural development for 46 years and has not achieved any results. From the Cultural Revolution to the Islamization of universities and humanities, to the production of dozens and hundreds of films and series, from educational matters from kindergarten to post-doctoral studies, it has finally failed and is resorting to the guidance patrol and the hijab and chastity bill.

Finally, he referred to the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dr. Salehi, and added: "Officials like Dr. Salehi firmly believe in the mirage of cultural development. Education and training consider the Iranian Broadcasting System (IBS) as the target for diminishing religion among the new generations. The Iranian Broadcasting System (IBS) targets universities, universities target seminaries, and so on. All of them, both in the West and recently in cyberspace."
