Lack of Internet Access Causes Qaeni Student to Fall from Mountain

A student from the village of Rumeshtik Qain, who had gone up a mountain to access the internet and take an online class, was taken to the hospital after falling from the mountain. However, the Director General of Education of South Khorasan Province has claimed that the student did not go up the mountain to take an online class, but to pick saffron!

According to HRANA news agency, citing Zirkuh News, an attempt to access the internet in the heights of the village of Rumeshtik Qain caused a student to fall from the mountain.

According to the report, the student, who suffered severe injuries, including to his eyes and face, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

However, today, Tuesday, November 10, 2020, the Director General of Education of South Khorasan Province has claimed that this student went to the mountain to pick saffron and that his fall had nothing to do with the lack of internet access!

Mohammad Ali Taqqi, pointing out that attending class is not mandatory, added: "The class was at 5:00 PM that day, and this student had logged into the Shad network in the previous session using his sister's phone in the same village as Noghab."

Maqshid also claimed: In addition, in areas of the province where there is no internet, textbooks are distributed to students and students do not need to go to the highlands to connect to the Shad network.

After the outbreak of the coronavirus, social networks have played a more effective and prominent role in educating students than ever before. However, due to the lack of proper internet coverage, students in many villages in the country are forced to face the risks of disease and environmental hazards of high altitudes, and leave their homes and regions to seek refuge in the passes and mountains in order to properly use the internet.
