Member of Iran's nuclear negotiating team calls on Russia to clarify its demands from the US

Mohammad Marandi, an advisor to Iran's nuclear negotiating team in the JCPOA revival talks in Vienna, tweeted on Sunday, March 6, in response to Russia's new request for guarantees from the United States: "Iran is waiting for Moscow to clarify its demands from the United States."
Mr. Marandi also added that "the United States has not responded to a number of Iranian demands that are key to the full implementation of the nuclear agreement."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced on Saturday that his country has asked the United States for guarantees that sanctions over Ukraine will not have a negative impact on Moscow's trade relations with Tehran, under the agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in an interview with CBS News on Sunday that the sanctions imposed on Russia and efforts to revive the JCPOA are "completely different" issues and have nothing to do with each other.
